My first Mother's Day

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my first Mother's Day! Parker and Daddy were so sweet and I felt very pampered and lucky. We had so much fun hanging out, and we took Parker for his first trip to Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park.
Parker even got a tiny taste of a snowcone!!
Did he like it......He liked it!!! And even better than the gifts, Parker gave me another present by rolling over lots more! By the time we got the camera out he was a little bit pooped and sort of stalled out mid roll. Mommy makes him work too hard sometimes!

Parker also got to visit with his Nanny and his Meme for Mother's Day, and they couldn't beleive what a chub chub he is. Nanny calls him her tub of love! We barbecued and hung out with all Parker's cousins, too.
Joey showed us how it's done!

And Hunter gave JR some real excersize!

Countdown to summer is on!

We have officially begun our countdown to the summer and hanging out everyday! Hot summer days at the park and pool and other fun places are calling our name! We got Parker his first swimsuit and he already has some boat sunglasses thanks to Aunt Kelly! Daddy and Parker are taking in lots of baseball together, too. Parker will have his 4 month checkup very soon, and we are excited to see how much he has grown. He is definitely a healthy big boy. We are sleeping nicely these days...and we sometimes catch P hanging out awake all alone! Just this week he started teething. We couldn't believe it when I felt his little gums that he is old enough to have teeth. It was really bittersweet.

The days do get more and more fun. There is now full belly laughing and Parker picks things up and plays with his toys. He is chewing and drooling on everything and will roll over from his tummy. He also now sits up really well with assistance, and he always wants to be sitting up so he can see everything that is going on.
We are just itching to get his laughing on camera, but as you can see....it never fails that he stops when the camera rolls!

The best gift EVER...

Well, Parker 'made' us our very first mommy and daddy present from school this week, amd we both thought it was the best gift we had ever received...even if Parker didn't actually make it! We love it so much!
We have been preparing for P's first Easter and hanging out. We stayed up a little late having fun at bath time. Parker had a wild night!
And, he still thinks Daddy is pretty darn funny! Tomorrow we tackle a big family Easter celebration and church fun with our little man!

Mission Bedtime: Successful!

We are so excited! For four nights in a row, we have had a successful bedtime: bottle, bath, book, prayers, and Parker is out like a light by 8pm. We don't know what to do with ourselves with so much sleep. The hardest part is putting him down and not being able to play anymore! Parker weighed in on his 12 week birthday today at 12.5 pounds....which technically still makes him a little booger, even though he looks so chunky! :) He loves bathtime, and we are getting so many laughs and coos and giggles. He is feeling more and more secure and curious about his surroundings. It was so exciting to hear a jingle in the backseat and see that he was batting at his carseat toys and cooing. He has discovered his hands and thinks they are quite funny little things.Parker also got to go to his first wedding this weekend and see his grandparents get married...again to celebrate their big anniversary! And a big big thanks to Mimi and Porgie for having a slumber party with Parker! We had a blast having a night on the town and going to the spa, but we really missed our little booger and were so happy to see him the next morning!

You did WHAT in your Easter basket?

Well, I am afraid it is true what they say: Like father, like son. Just check out this video of Parker in his Easter basket. Gross, but oh so funny.

This weekend we had a visit with Grandma and Grandpa Krcmar, and Parker got to meet his Great Grandpa for the first time! He still hams it up constantly with lots of laughing and smiling, but once the camera is on, he refuses to perform and show how cute they are. Life is truly uneventful right now, and we like it that way. We sit around making fools of ourselves, reading books, having baths, and playing with all the toys that are still too big for P! We also had our Easter pictures this weekend, and it just so happened that our appointment time fell when Parker needed to eat. Needless to say, he was NOT too thrilled! And, ever so exciting...mom and dad found themselves easilly amused with the hiccup dance!!

baby boot camp

Well Spring Break is almost over, and we have enjoyed spending so much time with P this week...and sleeping in! He is changing so much everyday. The smiles are almost constant and he is laughing and 'talking' to us. The schedule is getting better and we are feeling more sane as we get more sleep. We've been trying out the sling, the baby bjorn, bouncers, swing...daddy says it looks like baby boot camp in the livingroom!

Spring Break! A different kind of party....

Finally, Spring Break is here! I have been very much looking forward to hanging out with P all week and seeing more smiles. The past few days he has really bumped up the smiling and is chuckling at us now...well, mostly at Daddy. He doesn't seem to think Mommy is all that funny!

Yesterday we went to the pediatrician for Parker's 8 week checkup. He is smack dab in the middle, coming in at the 50th percentile for height and weight. But to me he looks so puggy!!! He is now outgrowing his tiny little newborn clothes and starting to wear some 0-3 stuff. I am wrapped around his finger more and more every day. Parker had to get a whopping 5 shots, but he took it like a champ. I was releived. In fact, he had a little gigglefest last night and JR and I were on the floor laughing at how funny he was! We have taken a few video clips and I am working on getting them uploaded shortly!!

This weekend P stayed with his Meme and Porgie and had a blast...so did Mommy and Daddy. We slept for 9 hours! Of course, I had to check on P, and they sent us a text message of our little aggie angel all decked out in UT garb!!! And, I have to admit, he is so cute that he makes burnt orange look good!!! :)
